Welcome to the 19th feature of Friday’s Informal Facebook Films!
This week in Ramblin Jackson’s Techie Gift Ideas:
What good is a smartphone if it’s always running out of juice? Sound familiar? One of the best gifts you can give the smartphone “heavy user” is an external battery that can keep ‘em charged up and on the go! One of the highest-rated, best reviewed options we’ve found is from a company called New Trent. They consistently get 4-out-of-5-star or better reviews on Amazon and their battery packs have adapters to juice up most Android phones, iPhones, and Blackberries! But wait, there’s more! They can also power iPads, iPod Touches, many Android tablets and even mobile gaming systems from Nintendo and Sony! With many options under $100 – and some even under $50 – this is truly a gift that keeps on giving…
Next week, we’re talkin’ earbuds!
Ramblin Jackson’s Really Remarkable Report:
Do you ever wish there was a proven, FDA approved hangover cure – one with a money-back guarantee? Well, now there is! Called “Blowfish,” the product is a combination of caffeine, aspirin, and antacid which comes in a tablet that dissolves in water. The FDA approved just recently approved the over-the-counter drug and said they found it to be “effective at treating hangover symptoms.” Indeed, Blowfish claims to cure your hangover within 15-30 minutes! Unfortunately, it won’t be rolling out nationally until January, but that still gives plenty of time to stock up for St. Patrick’s Day…
Pro tip: Find My Car App
This week’s pro tip is for those of you who have trouble remembering where you park your car. With holiday shopping and such, this can happen a lot. To help remember where you parked, there’s a sweet mobile app called Find My Car. The Wall Street Journal has selected “Find My Car” as one of the 10 ten apps that will change your life. Find My Car is available for the Android and iPhone, and if you don’t have a smart phone, you can do it the old fashioned way and just remember where you parked.
That’s all the time we have for this week, we hope you have a great weekend! Let us know what you think in the comments!
