1) Find out where your top customers are…
Where are your most profitable customers? If you haven’t read Perry Marshall’s 80-20 Sales and Marketing, you need to. The book dives into the Pareto Principle and how 80 percent of your sales likely come from 20 percent of your customers. These 20 percent should get the most attention from your business as they are likely to keep generating revenue for you. So, dig in to your sales numbers and find out who your top 20 percent of customers are and start marketing to them. 2) Update your website’s meta descriptions to 300 characters!
In the last few months, Google had an update that allows website meta descriptions to be shown with up to 300 characters. Have you ever seen the text under the blue link in Google search results? That is a page’s meta description. 300 characters is nearly double what you used to see, so this means that you can provide a lot more information to people scrolling through Google search results. This could help persuade more people to call you or visit your website and book an appointment.
3) Your website should be optimized for mobile!
Do you know if your site is optimized for mobile? In 2018, it is critical that your site is responsive and works perfectly on mobile. More and more people are searching for businesses and making purchases right from their phones. If your website has a lot of small text and is hard to use, chances are that customer will pick someone else to do the job. Make sure that your website on mobile has tappable buttons that allow people to call you directly as well as easy to use forms and strong calls to action that help people know what the next steps they should take are.
