Are you dealing with too many Pain-in-the-Ass customers or getting calls from the WRONG people, who don’t have the budget for the types of projects that you want to do? It might be the fault of your website… Here’s what you need to do to start getting found by the RIGHT leads!
At Ramblin Jackson, we are experts at helping home service businesses and landscaping companies get found by better customers. We love helping businesses that do cool looking projects like bathroom and kitchen remodeling, home renovations, or landscape design. One thing I hear from a lot of contractors is “digital marketing doesn’t work because the only people that find me online don’t have a budget for what I do.” More times than not, when we take a look at their website, we’ll find that the work they are capable of doing is not reflected on their website. Usually the work they actually do looks way better than what they have on their website.
If you really want to command higher prices, you need to look the best. If you look like some Chuck-in-a-Truck contractor online, people will think that your work doesn’t look as high quality and won’t expect to spend much to work with you. Cheap design brings in cheap customers!
The job of your website should be to disqualify bad fit leads. If your website looks amazing and shows off the high quality work that you do, low budget leads won’t call you. So, here are 3 questions that you need to ask yourself about your website:
- Is your website a reflection of your current capabilities and offerings? Does your website show the work you have done in the past year or is it showing work from 5, 10, even 20 years ago? I guarantee your work has improved over the years and so should your website!
- Does your website actually distinguish your brand from other companies? Or does it just look like some other Chuck-in-a-Truck contractor? Your website really should differentiate you and show your core values, mission, and value proposition. What do you do better than everyone else and why should people hire you?
- Does your website generate a response from the RIGHT leads? This is the most important question to ask. If your website is bringing in the wrong leads, you have a HUGE problem and something needs to be fixed ASAP!
If you answered NO to any of these questions, you have some work to do to get your website fixed. WE all know that you are not some Chuck-in-a-Truck. You do quality work and don’t cut corners and neither should your website.
