Does your team understand your company mission and core values? Do they really? Or did you just tell them at their on-boarding and then forgot about it shortly after?
Last week, we had our quarterly state of the company address. All of local team members came in to the office and all of our remote contractors and employees joined in via a Zoom video conference call. To start off our meeting, we reviewed what Ramblin Jackson’s core values and mission are to make sure that everyone was on the same page.
Our Mission: To Help Small Businesses Ring The Bell.
Yes, we actually have a big ass bell… When our clients reach their goals, whether that is reaching a new revenue milestone, like hitting $1M in sales, or hiring a new team member, we meet with them and have them ring the bell.
One of the ways that we reinforce our company mission and really bring life to it is by sharing interviews with our customers to our team about the impact of our work. If you have A-Players working for you, chances are, they give a damn about their work, so use these videos to motivate your team and show that what they do is meaningful.
The videos that I shared with the team at the meeting were just testimonials that we are actually using to market our business to other clients, but these same videos can have a huge impact on your team’s motivation and understanding you business’ mission and core values.
So, how does your business get your team to fully understand the company’s mission and core values?
