HR & Recruiting Assistant
Shara has experience working in a wide range of fields from divorce law to community psychology to slot machine compliance. Along this winding path, her driving force has been to assess a need, source a solution, and ensure that everyone involved is happy with the outcome. At Ramblin Jackson, she continues on this path by finding the best new Ramblers for the team.
Shara began her career as a legal assistant as she put herself through school for BA and MA degrees in Forensic Psychology in New York City. She went on to coordinate programs that provided services to at-risk families. As a part of this work, she facilitated countless interviews and focus groups and worked tirelessly to connect families to resources. She often coached clients on how to create a resume, how and where to apply for jobs, and prepared clients for job interviews. Next, Shara took a sharp left turn and spent a few years playing slot machines for free while she ensured that all of the slot manufacturer’s employees were properly vetted and licensed by every possible gaming commission from Nevada to Tasmania. Shara prepared employees for the invasive interview process (a cross between a mortgage application and being investigated by the FBI) and safeguarded their personal information. Through it all, Shara has enjoyed finding ways to support people in their work so they can grow and succeed.
After stints in Boston, New York City and Chicago, Shara now resides in Colorado. When she’s not out finding great new Ramblers, she is usually volunteering for organizations that support local families.
